Stand Together is a philanthropic community that helps America’s boldest changemakers tackle the root causes of our country’s biggest problems. We provide resources including funding, thought leadership, a network of peers, and a playbook for applying proven principles to transform lives and society.

Responsibilities

• Write high-impact content, including emails, blog posts, direct mail, reports, and event communications that inspire grassroots advocates and donor audiences.
• Develop content that clearly conveys Stand Together’s and AFP’s perspectives on key issues like elections, the economy, health care, immigration, and the role of government.
• Collaborate effectively with a self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset to develop strategic content for key initiatives, often on tight deadlines.
• Adapt to evolving priorities with a self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset and a commitment to results.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in grassroots politics, journalism, or political communications, including elections-related work.
• A strong understanding of the political and electoral landscape and our diverse stakeholders’ nuanced messaging.
• A clear understanding of proven principles and the ability to translate complex ideas into clear narratives.
• A strong eye for accuracy and brevity.

Pay

The anticipated base salary range is $75,000-$100,000 per year. This role may also be eligible for additional bonus compensation designed to align total compensation with an employee’s overall contribution to the organization.
