Classification: Supplemental – Reports to Athletic Director – Calendar: Athletic Calendar
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct practices that develop individual and team athletic skills.
- Teach sport-specific fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
- Promote student-athlete growth, sportsmanship, and positive character.
- Supervise and manage student-athletes during practices, competitions, and team activities.
- Prepare teams for competitions and coach during games with professionalism.
- Prioritize athlete safety and follow all injury prevention and emergency protocols.
- Establish and enforce team expectations aligned with school and district policies.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, administrators, and athletic staff.
- Assist with program administration, including equipment, records, and required documentation.
- Comply with all school, district, and athletic association rules and professional standards.
- Trained and drive a 14-passenger activity bus.
Requirements
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License
- DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- CPR/First Aid/AED Certification
- NFHS Course Certificates:
- Bullying, Hazing and Inappropriate Behaviors
- Concussion in Sports
- First Aid, Health and Safety
- Fundamentals of Coaching
- Heat Illness Prevention
- Additional course certifications as required by sport type.

Physical Requirements
