Responsibilities

• Supervise students and enforce district, school, league and CHSAA rules and regulations.
• Possess knowledge and skills in the specific sport.
• Plan, organize and successfully direct the specific sport.
• Perform and teach advanced techniques in the specific sport.
• Promote and follow Board of Education policies, Superintendent Policies and building and department procedures.
• Communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with all people, including those from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
• Recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.

Requirements

• Head Coaches: current AED/CPR certificate upon hire.
• Assistant Coaches: current First Aid/CPR certificate or willingness to obtain.
• All Coaches: CDE licensed teacher or valid CHSAA Coaches registration upon hire.
• All Coaches in Colorado: current concussion certification from NFHS or Children's Hospital Colorado upon hire.
• All Coaches: pass the CHSAA annual Coaches Exam.
• Previous coaching experience and/or participation at the high school or college level is preferred.
• Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR certification if not already held.

Pay

Salary is based on sport and previous years of experience, per Certified Master Agreement
