Wrapper & Packer - DSC (1st Shift)

About the role

Bell Textron Inc. is seeking a Packaging Specialist in Fort Worth, Texas to prepare items for storage or shipment according to packaging and preservation specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare items for storage or shipment by applying suitable wrapping material and securely tying, binding, or otherwise fastening/enclosing items.
• Clean and immerse items in solvents and cleaners; apply oils, greases, waxes and other preservatives to protect against corrosion or damage.
• Check and reconcile part numbers, quantities, type, etc., with shipping tags and packing sheets to ensure correctness.
• Cushion items as required and place completed items in proper containers as specified.
• Apply necessary labels, tags, etc.
• May cut and apply stencils or otherwise mark crates, boxes, cartons, and other containers.
• Maintain records as required.

Qualifications

• One year of qualifying wrapping and packing experience.
• Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee) due to handling ITAR-controlled information.

Skills

• Experience with a variety of wrapping, packaging, cleaning and preserving equipment, materials and work aids.
