Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree. Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying full-time work involving sentence calculations for convicted offenders and/or parole docketing work for convicted offenders may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of four years.

Job Overview Summary

This is the entry-level, professional class in the Sentence/Docketing Analyst sub-series. Performs professional sentence calculation or parole work of considerable difficulty and supervisory work of routine difficulty. Learns to analyze sentence or parole structure and sentence or parole hearing management procedures; ensures offenders' sentences comply with sentencing guidelines; supervises the work activities of technical and paraprofessional sentence management staff; educates staff on changes in sentence procedures, sentence calculation work, parole docketing work and correctional computer operations; verifies and modifies offender incarceration data and sentencing information in computer correctional records; gathers and provides sentencing or parole information regarding policies and procedures, offenders' records, and any other related sentencing or parole information; and tests in court regarding sentence calculation or parole docketing procedures.
