WPR Facilities Custodian
Saturday-Monday 4PM-4:30AM, with an additional 4-hour shift during the week (usually Friday 8PM-12AM).
About the role
Under direct supervision, performs facilities maintenance, custodial services, installation, improvements, and/or repairs. May perform duties in a clean room environment.
Responsibilities
- Follow existing methods and procedures for maintaining the facility to meet regulatory requirements and accountability reporting.
- Adhere to all safety and security rules and regulations; report infractions.
- Handle, collect, label, and/or transfer hazardous chemical waste following established procedures and guidelines.
- Perform custodial and grounds-keeping activities, and facilities maintenance functions.
- Maintain a standard of cleanliness, sanitation, and associated documentation.
- Prepare and implement protocols and procedures involving known infectious or potentially infectious agents.
- Perform postal handling required to support the company, including processing outgoing mail, sorting and delivering incoming mail, and delivering small packages.
- May be required to work other shifts.
- Perform work outside buildings in adverse weather conditions, including snow removal.
- Occasional communication with other departments, outside vendors, contractors, and/or local municipalities regarding bids, proposals, and walk-throughs.
- Maintain confidentiality of any accessed information.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- No prior experience required.
- Basic math aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and make routine decisions.
- Ability to inspect own work for accuracy and adherence to policies.
- Good interpersonal communication skills; ability to work effectively with other associates and contractors.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to learn and comply with new methods, processes, and policies.
- Ability to respond with a sense of urgency and work effectively and productively.
- Ability to learn to read building layouts and blueprints.
- Ability to work in high places using ladders or lifts, and in tight or confined spaces for extended periods.
- Ability to complete training on biohazards and other regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
An equivalent competency level acquired through a variation of these qualifications may be considered.
Physical Requirements
- General labor environment requirements include: use of personal protective equipment, reading, speaking, hearing, walking, bending, standing, stretching/reaching, hand/finger dexterity.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, or transporting up to 500 pounds via carts or mechanized equipment.

Pay
Target pay range: $19.50 to $21.00 per hour, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
Target bonus on base: 7.0%.

- Sunday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Saturday-Monday: 4:00 PM – 4:30 AM
