WOW! Weekend Personal Care Aide (PCA)

About the role

We are looking for a caregiver to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for a total of 30–36 hours weekly in the Tri-County area (Dorchester, Berkeley, and Charleston counties).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

Requirements

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator
