About the role

As a Wound Treatment Nurse (RN), you will provide specialized clinical care to residents with wounds and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to uphold the highest standards of treatment and prevention. Guided by our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence, you will play a key role in promoting healing, preventing complications, and improving residents' quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Assess skin integrity for all new admissions and readmissions using standardized assessment tools.
  • Complete Braden Scale assessments as appropriate to identify residents at risk for skin breakdown.
  • Develop, implement, and administer individualized wound treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Evaluate resident responses to treatment and update care plans to reflect changes in condition, goals, and outcomes.
  • Accurately document wound assessments, treatments, progress, and resident responses in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing, physicians, Unit Managers, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent, high-quality wound care.
  • Partner with the Director of Staff Development/Infection Prevention to educate nursing staff on wound prevention, treatment protocols, and best clinical practices.
  • Monitor wound healing progress and recommend treatment modifications based on clinical assessment and physician direction.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Wound Care Certification preferred.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Previous wound care or long-term care experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, communication, and critical thinking skills.

Pay

Starting pay $35-$45 (all inclusive). Same Day Pay available.

Schedule

Full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities available.
