Wound Treatment Nurse (Registered Nurse -RN)

Job Duties

• Assesses skin condition on new admissions and readmissions using the standardized assessment tool.
• Completes Braden Scales as needed.
• Implements treatment plan on residents as appropriate and administers treatments.
• Implements and evaluates the plan of care reflecting appropriate nursing and medical diagnosis, goal development, outcome criteria and target dates.
• Keeps resident plans of care updated reflecting changes in condition and responses to treatment or education.
• Appropriately documents on residents receiving treatments, reviewing previous documentation.

Education/Training/Work Experience

• Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Certificate/Licenses: Current, active license as a Registered Nurse in state of employment. Wound Care Certification preferred. Active CPR Certification is required.
• Work Experience: Three years’ experience providing direct care to residents in long term care setting. Understands the principles of wound prevention and treatment.
