Wound Treatment Assistant

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and treatment areas according to established patient preparation guidelines.
• Aid providers with treatments and procedures under supervision.
• Support clerical functions, including scheduling, referrals, transcribing orders, prior authorizations, and EMR in-basket management.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked patient care environment.
• Ensure smooth patient flow and clinic operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior Healthcare experience within Wound Care preferred.
• Successful completion of Clinical Certified Medical Assistant program within the first 12 months of hire.
• Successful completion of Wound Treatment Associate certificate within 12 months of hire.
• BLS (AHA, Red Cross or ASHI Healthcare Provider) required.
• Maintains current certifications in required emergency response trainings (i.e. BLS).
• Completes all Organizational and Department-Specific competency training/requirements within specified timeframe.
• Maintains current knowledge base in skin/wound care and departmental policies.
