About the Role
Provides expert nursing care for patients with ileostomies, colostomies, urinary diversions, and complex wounds. Acts as a consultant for skin integrity issues, including pressure ulcers and wound management.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care related to ostomies and wounds.
- Serve as a clinical resource and advisor for wound and skin integrity concerns.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse License in the state.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- WOCN certification or within two years of hire.
- Experience in managing simple and complex wounds and ostomies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or actively pursuing one.
- Board certification by Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurses Society (WOCN).
