WK Medical Center in Shreveport, LA is seeking a full-time, day-shift Wound Care Nurse (RN) to join our team.

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive wound assessments, evaluate and document wounds, pressure injuries, ostomies, and other skin integrity concerns, and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide evidence-based wound care treatments, dressing selection, and therapeutic interventions to promote optimal healing.
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound prevention, treatment plans, nutrition, and self-care techniques.
- Serve as a wound care resource for nursing staff and healthcare providers regarding best practices in skin and wound management.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, dietitians, and nursing staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Lead and support pressure injury prevention programs and skin care initiatives throughout the organization.
- Ensure timely, accurate documentation and adherence to regulatory standards, policies, and evidence-based guidelines.

- Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent collaboration across disciplines.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience in wound care, medical-surgical nursing, or related clinical specialty preferred.
- Wound Care Certification (WCC, CWON, CWCN, or equivalent) preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of wound assessment, treatment modalities, and pressure injury prevention.
