About the role
St. Peters Rehab is looking for a Wound Nurse to join the team!
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization and the state of Missouri.
- Complete wound treatments for residents in skilled nursing facility.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record and communicate resident condition.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Coordinate with wound care providers, oversee nursing staff wound treatments.
- Provide resident specific education to CNAs and nurses for wound care and prevention.
- Medication administration, documentation, overseeing residents' care, and implementation of schedules for residents.
Qualifications
- Some wound care experience preferred.
- Certification preferred but not required.
- Minimum Experience: One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
