Wound Care RN LPN

Compensation is contingent upon license type (LVN or RN) and years of experience.

About the role

The Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) works in harmony with the nursing staff assessing, treating, and creating care plans for patients with complex wounds, ostomies, and/or continence conditions.

Pay

Posted salary range: USD $32.00 - USD $42.00 per hour.

The wage range for this role takes into account factors such as skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation and direct assistance in the management of patients with altered skin integrity (pressure necrosis, wounds, fistulas, etc).
• Offer in-service programs as needed to assist nursing, rehabilitation, and medical staff to maintain knowledge and competence in wound care.
• Collect, analyze, and document information and statistics related to wounds in the facility, as well as perform clinical evaluations for potential wound admissions.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed RN or LPN/LVN in good standing with the state (as required).
• 1-2 years of wound care experience required.
• Wound Care Certification (WOCN) preferred.
• 1+ years of long-term care experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation required.
