About the role

At TriStar Summit Medical Center, our nurses play a vital part. We know that every nurse’s path and purpose is unique. This role is an Out Patient Wound Care RN position.

Responsibilities

  • Care for a 35 bed Acute Medical Care/Oncology Unit that primarily cares for acute adult patients with a variety of different medical diagnoses.
  • Provide care for a number of Hospice and Palliative Care patients.
  • Grow into a Charge Nurse role, become a Preceptor, be a part of a Unit Based Council, and grow into a Leadership role.

Requirements

  • RN licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state.
  • Associate's degree; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • BLS required, and must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Must obtain ACLS within 6 Months of hire or transfer.
  • At least one-year clinical nursing preferred.

Qualifications

  • TriStar Summit is a 234 bed comprehensive facility serving Davidson, Wilson and surrounding counties.
  • We include a Level III Trauma Center offering a full array of acute care services including cardiology, oncology, orthopedics/spine, rehabilitation and women’s services.
  • We are an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI and a Primary Stroke Center.
