Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments maintaining the highest standard of practice.
• Be proactive in designing, implementing, and evaluating nursing care plans.
• Take part in initiatives to improve quality and performance.
• Build therapeutic relationships with both patient and family.
• Engage in collaborative and mutual work with colleagues and the community.
• Assess patients, establish diagnoses, and create healthcare plans.
• Observe and evaluate patient responses.
• Ensure patient safety by understanding needs and assisting with encounters.

Requirements

• Completion of an associates degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
• Holding an effective Registered Nurse licensure.
• Must have Basic Life Support certification or obtain it within 30 days of starting the job.
• 3 years as an RN & at least 1 year in wound care.
• Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) certification.
• Preferred experience: proficiency in wound vac changes, ability to serve a large vascular population, and willingness to help provide wound care education to bedside RNs.

• Understanding of legal and ethical considerations.
• Strong communication skills.
• Problem-solving ability to quickly detect and react to changes in patients.
• Proficiency in using computers and medical software.

Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm. Training/orientation will potentially take place in Plano.
