Wound Care Physician

About the Role

Join a national wound physician group offering clinical satisfaction, autonomy, and flexibility with a strong focus on work-life balance. This part-time position involves providing bedside wound care in skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care hospitals across a 40–60 mile radius of Billerica, MA. No nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.

Physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at 2–3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20–30 patients daily. Clinical documentation is completed in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert in wound management through training from highly qualified, wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors.
• Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities.
• Provide bedside wound care in post-acute care settings, including skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care hospitals.
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at assigned facilities.
• Treat 20–30 patients per day across 2–3 facilities.
• Complete clinical documentation at the point of care using a proprietary EMR.

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in Massachusetts.
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week for part-time role.
• Willingness to travel to facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of Billerica, MA.

Schedule

• Part-time: Minimum of 3 days per week (flexible scheduling).
• Full-time: 4–5 days per week (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM).
• No call or weekend clinical responsibilities.

Pay

W2 full-time physicians earn an average of $300,000 per year. Part-time compensation is prorated based on hours worked.

Additional Information
