Wound Care Physician
About the Role
Join a national wound physician group offering clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance. This full-time position involves providing bedside wound care in skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care hospitals across a 40–60 mile radius of Eau Claire, WI. Physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at 2–3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20–30 patients daily. Clinical documentation is completed in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.
Full-time work is Monday–Friday (7am–4pm), with part-time options available (minimum 3 days per week). No call, no weekend clinical responsibilities, and no nights.
Responsibilities
- Become an expert in wound management through training from highly qualified wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors.
- Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities.
- Provide bedside wound care in post-acute care settings, including skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care hospitals.
- Conduct weekly wound rounds at assigned facilities.
- Treat approximately 20–30 patients per day across 2–3 facilities.
- Complete clinical documentation at the point of care using a proprietary EMR.
Requirements
- Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in Wisconsin.
- Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week (part-time) or 4–5 days per week (full-time).
- Willingness to travel to facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of Eau Claire, WI.
W2 employment contract; no work visa sponsorship is available.
Training & Development
- Paid training during onboarding.
- 6-month wound care fellowship to build expertise in wound management.
Pay
Full-time W2 physicians earn on average $300,000 per year.
Schedule
- Full-time: 4–5 days per week, Monday–Friday (7am–4pm).
- Part-time: Minimum 3 days per week.
- Routine workweek of approximately 45 hours for full-time positions.
