Wound Care Physician

About the role

Join a national wound care group providing bedside wound management in post-acute care settings, including Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals. This part-time position offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each assigned facility
• Visit 2–3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20–30 patients per day
• Perform clinical documentation at point of care in real-time during rounds using proprietary wound-specific EMR
• Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in Virginia
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week
• Ability to travel within a 40–60 mile radius of Wytheville, VA
• W2 employment contract (no work visa sponsorship available)

Qualifications

• Become an expert in wound management through training from highly qualified wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors
• Physician-level wound management training and a wound fellowship provided for clinical excellence

Training

• Paid training provided during onboarding
• 6-month wound care fellowship included

Schedule

• Part-time: minimum of 3 days per week
• Full-time: 4–5 days per week, Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm
• No call, no weekend clinical responsibilities

Pay

• W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits
