Wound Care Physician

About the Role

This is a part-time wound care physician position with a national wound physician group, based in Plymouth, MA. The role offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend responsibilities.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Become an expert in wound management, learning from highly qualified wound certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors
• Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities
• Provide bedside wound care in skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care hospitals
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility
• Visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients per day
• Perform clinical documentation at point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using proprietary wound-specific EMR

Schedule

• Part-time role requires a minimum of 3 weekdays per week
• Full-time schedule is Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm (4–5 days per week)
• No call, no weekend clinical responsibilities
• Mobile practice: physicians visit facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of practice location

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in Massachusetts
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week

Training

• Paid training provided during onboarding plus a 6-month wound care fellowship
• Physician-level wound management training and wound fellowship for clinical excellence

Compensation

• W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits
• Part-time compensation is proportionate
