Wound Care Nurse - RN - PRN

About the role

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to plan, implement, direct, and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with all other disciplines on the assigned unit.
• Prioritize nursing actions including reflecting patient needs, acuity, and desired outcomes.
• Implement physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames.
• Educate and counsel patients and their families on wound care processes and issues.

Qualifications

• A degree in nursing, preferably a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, is required for Magnet Hospitals.
• A valid Registered Nursing license is required.
• A valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Experience working with wound care patients is required (will train).
• Prior experience with billing and coding is preferred.
