Wound Care Nurse (RN) - Ostomy Nurse

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital - Nashville is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. Wound Care Nurses (RNs) are integral in delivering compassionate, high-quality care throughout the recovery process.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor skin preservation strategies.
• Audit and approve all wound and skin care protocols with the medical staff.
• Organize multidisciplinary wound and skin rounds for high-risk patients and those with pressure ulcers.
• Provide hands-on wound care for complex and non-healing wounds.
• Act as a wound and skin care expert, offering guidance to all hospital staff.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• AD (Associate's degree in Nursing) required.
• One (1) year of related experience required.
• Valid State RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Complete wound care training within the first 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.

Skills

• Strong clinical skills in wound care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and policies.
