Wound Ostomy Nurse

About the role

We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist with expertise in ostomy, wound, and skin integrity care. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care related to ileostomies, colostomies, urinary diversions, pressure ulcers, and complex wounds. You will serve as a consultant for skin integrity issues and provide specialized nursing support.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for ostomy, wound, and skin integrity needs.
• Provide specialized nursing support for patients with ileostomies, colostomies, urinary diversions, pressure ulcers, and complex wounds.
• Serve as a consultant for skin integrity issues across clinical teams.

Requirements

• Active Washington State RN license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must obtain Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing (WOCN) certification within two years of hire.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Board certification by the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB).
