Wound Care Nurse (RN/LPN)

Sunrise Nursing & Memory Care in Raymore, MO is looking for a compassionate and experienced Wound Care Nurse to join our growing team. What You'll Do As a Wound Care Nurse, you will play an important role in the assessment, treatment, and ongoing management of wounds while collaborating with residents, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team. Responsibilities include: Perform comprehensive wound assessments, reassessments, and ongoing wound managementDevelop and implement individualized wound care plans according to physician orders and facility policiesMonitor wound progress and document treatments and outcomes accuratelyIdentify changes in wound condition and communicate concerns promptly to the appropriate medical teamCollaborate with physicians, nurses, CNAs, therapy, dietary, and other members of the interdisciplinary teamSupport infection prevention and control practices throughout the facilityCompile, track, and submit infection prevention and wound-related data as requiredAssist with employee health and infection prevention matters, including exposures, communicable diseases, and vaccine-preventable illnessesProvide education and guidance to nursing staff regarding wound care and infection prevention best practicesHelp ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, facility policies, and clinical standardsSupport a culture of compassionate, resident-centered care What We're Looking For Current, valid RN or LPN/LVN license in the state of Missouri, as applicable to the positionMinimum 2 years of nursing experienceWound care experience preferredStrong assessment, clinical, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to work collaboratively with residents, families, and an interdisciplinary healthcare teamWillingness to obtain Wound Care Certification within 1 yearWillingness to obtain Infection Prevention and Control Certification within 1 yearProof of COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption, as required What We Offer Competitive payFull benefits packagePaid time off (PTO)Flexible schedulingOngoing training and professional developmentSupportive leadership and clinical teamCollaborative work environmentOpportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents Join Our Team At Sunrise Nursing & Memory Care, we believe excellent resident care starts with an excellent team.
