Wound Care Nurse (RN/LPN)

Role Overview The ADON Wound Care Nurse is a licensed registered nurse responsible for providing specialized wound care to promote skin integrity and healing. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, they ensure residents receive high-quality, compassionate care aligned with physician orders, facility policies, and regulations. They educate residents, families, and staff on wound management and best practices. Key Responsibilities Administer and monitor treatments, evaluate wound progress, and report changes to physicians and families.Guide and support nursing staff to maintain care standards and infection control.Respond to emergencies and ensure safety protocols are followed.Maintain clear communication, documentation, and collaborate with the care team for early intervention. Qualifications & Skills Active RN or LPN license, with experience in long-term or geriatric care preferred.Knowledge of wound care, clinical protocols, and nursing practices.Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.Computer literacy for documentation and system use.Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting and resident mobility assistance.
