About the role

AMG Specialty Hospital - Albuquerque seeks a Full Time Wound Care Nurse (RN) who evaluates new and existing in/out patient's wounds and monitors and treats the wound as per treatment policies and procedures. The position involves providing direct and indirect patient care in the long-term acute care setting. Communication with physicians/CCO/co-workers, as appropriate, regarding changes in patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology, is also required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates new and existing in/out patient's wounds and monitors and treats the wound as per treatment policies and procedures.
  • Provides direct and indirect patient care in the long-term acute care setting.
  • Communicates with physicians/CCO/co-workers, as appropriate, about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
  • Responds quickly and accurately to changes in patient's condition or response to treatment.
  • Performs general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of New Mexico.
  • Acute care experience is preferred.
  • Current certification of Wound Care preferred.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Able to communicate effectively and positively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of New Mexico.
