Wound Care Nurse

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with wounds, including complex wounds, pressure ulcers, and surgical wounds
• Develop and implement individualized wound care plans, including education and instruction for patients and family members
• Provide wound care treatments, including debridement, dressing changes, and compression therapy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, physical therapists, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including assessment, treatment, and outcomes
• Stay up-to-date with the latest wound care techniques and technologies, and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Tennessee
• Minimum 2 years of experience in wound care nursing
• Strong clinical skills and experience in wound care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare technology
