Wound Care/IP Nurse (RN or LPN) *Sign-On Bonus*

About the role

St. Sophia Health & Rehab seeks compassionate and thoughtful individuals to join our team. We partner with a network of skilled nursing centers to support a small team environment of caring professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to residents in a manner conductive to their safety and comfort.
• Assesses, treats, and cares for patients with wounds such as pressure ulcers, ostomies, skin breakdowns or other wounds.
• Absorb and educate residents and families on pain management techniques.
• Promote and support the greatest possible degree of independence for residents.
• Contribute knowledge of residents’ conditions and document observations as required.
• Promote a safe and clean hazard-free environment for residents, family members, and staff members.
• Implement plan of care for the resident based on assessments and goals as established by the interdisciplinary care team.
• React decisively and quickly in emergency situations.

Requirements

• WOCN certification in good standing.
• Missouri issued LPN or RN license.
• One year of nursing experience in a long-term care facility preferred.
• Infection control experience preferred.

• Communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization.
• React decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
• Read, write, and speak the English language.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Communicate clearly.
• Strong professionalism.
• Valid CPR Certification.
