We are seeking a dedicated Wound Care Coordinator to oversee wound care management and skin integrity programs for our residents. The Wound Care Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality wound care, ensuring preventative measures are in place, and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as facility policies.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of wound and skin care
- Conduct regular wound care rounds, ensuring timely documentation and tracking of resident skin conditions
- Assess resident skin integrity and document medical history related to wound care
- Implement preventative wound care strategies in resident care plans
- Prioritize and execute nursing interventions for wound management
