Wound Care Clinician, PRN, Days

About the Role

Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for-profit community hospital in Conyers that has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to Rockdale County and surrounding communities since 1954. We offer 24-hour emergency care, plus most major medical, surgical, and diagnostic services.

Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate, and treat patients with acute and/or chronic wounds, ostomy management, and education.
• Manage fistulae, tubes, skin, and incontinence issues.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary staff to evaluate, propose, plan, and perform patient assessments and treatments.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school in Nursing, Physical Therapy, or Occupational Therapy (Bachelor's Degree preferred).
• 2 years of clinical experience (2 years in wound/ostomy care and management preferred).
• Experience working in research, data analysis, and editing collateral (preferred).

Qualifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support (Required).
• Active Georgia State Licensure or NLC/eNLC Multistate Licensure as one of the following:
  • RN - Registered Nurse, or
  • PT - Physical Therapist, or
  • OT - Occupational Therapist - Registered.
• Maintain CEUs as required by the state (Required).
• Certification as a CWS - Certified Wound Specialist or CWOCN - Certified Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse (Preferred).
