About the role

The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
  • Provide advanced technical knowledge to your domain aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
  • Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.
  • Partner with Business Development teams to define the technical components of best in class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
  • Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide.
  • Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • 3+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
  • 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
  • Experience working with end user or developer communities
  • Knowledge of open table formats, especially Iceberg
  • Understanding of data foundation principles supporting agentic systems

Skills

  • Strong understanding of SQL and SQL Analytics
  • Experience with Amazon Redshift and related SQL Analytics ecosystem
  • Ability to design and implement scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Pay

Base salary range for this position is $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually.
