Your role The Workshop Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a workshop and service partners ensuring the efficient and safe performance of mechanical and electrical technicians. This role involves planning, scheduling, and supervising the maintenance, repair, and fabrication of equipment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The Workshop Manager is a hands-on leader who balances technical expertise with strong team management and operational planning skills. You will play a key role in enhancing our operational capabilities and driving business success. You will report to the Operations Manager - Steam Turnaround. You will Plan and prioritize daily activities, repair schedules, and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure timely completion of projectsCoordinate the allocation of resources, including manpower, tools, and equipment to meet operational needsLead, manage, and motivate a team of skilled technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environmentProvide coaching, mentoring, and training to enhance the skills and performance of team membersConduct regular performance reviews and address performance issues promptlyEnforce strict adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory standardsConduct routine safety inspections and implement corrective actions to mitigate risksMonitor work quality to ensure repairs and maintenance meet required standardsManage inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts, ensuring availability while minimizing costsLiaise with internal customers and other stakeholders to provide updates on job progress and timelines To succeed, you will need We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every single requirement. You have a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering (or equivalent)2+ years of experience in a workshop environment, supervisory experience is a plusStrong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including maintenance and repair practicesExcellent leadership and team management abilitiesStrong problem solving and decision making skillsProficiency in workshop management software and toolsCertifications (Preferred)Relevant trade certifications in mechanical or electrical fieldsHealth and Safety Certification (e.g..
