Workplace Operations Associate (PM Shift)
About the role
The Workplace Operations Associate will assist the company in maintaining an organized, functional, and secure warehouse and building. Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, this role involves assisting existing staff with various general building maintenance and custodial tasks, coordinating and escorting outside services and vendors, monitoring facility-related projects, moving items, assembling furniture, responding to tickets, and identifying safety risks.
Responsibilities
- Assist existing staff with various general building maintenance and custodial tasks.
- Cook up and tear down events.
- Maintain an organized, functional, and secure warehouse and building.
- Respond to tickets and requests from other departments.
- Identify safety risks such as spills and tripping hazards.
- Able to perform special job assignments outside the normal work scope.
- Knowledge of Jira a plus.
- Having basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC a plus.
Requirements
- Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized, problem solver, flexible, and able to prioritize.
- General knowledge of facilities maintenance.
- Able to assemble furniture.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
- Basic computer skills and comfortable using Google products (Gmail/Google Docs/Google Sheets/Sites).
Physical Requirements
- Bending and Twisting: Bending neck/waist, twisting neck/waist, and squatting.
- Computer Use: Typing, mouse work, and sitting and looking at a computer potentially for long periods of time.
- Exposure to Machinery: Exposure to machinery noise, which may include noise from forklifts, injection presses, or other machinery.
- Hand Use: Power gripping when using low-precision, high-impact hand tools that require significant force, such as hammer drills and torque wrenches.
- Hearing Requirements: Ability to hear alarms, signals, and verbal instructions.
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 75+ pounds, with employee help or with proper equipment.
- Sitting or Standing: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Temperature and Humidity: Occasional exposure to warehouse environments without heating or cooling with fluctuations in temperatures and humidity.
- Walking: Ability to walk for long periods.
Pay
The hourly range for this position is $21-$23. Actual compensation in this range will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, prior experience, and skill set. This role may be eligible for shift differential pay, please ask your recruiter for details.
