Workplace Health and Safety Specialist Intern - Summer 2027 (Nationwide)
About the Role
Operations roles at Amazon put you at the center of how things move from a click to a doorstep. You'll help design, improve, and run systems that connect people, products, and places, at scale. As a Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) intern, you'll take ownership early, work closely with teams to solve real-world challenges, and see the direct results of your decisions as they reach customers every day. This internship focuses on promoting a safe working environment and understanding Amazon Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) practices through safety-related projects and organizational learning initiatives.
Throughout the 10-week program, you will learn how to implement safety improvements, identify compliance issues, and recognize opportunities for safety enhancements at your assigned Network Distribution Center. You will work alongside safety leaders and stakeholders to contribute to a safe workplace. Upon completion, you will present a safety research paper and share your project findings with the leadership team.
This role requires 100% on-site attendance at one of our Network Distribution Centers and is not virtual. The internship lasts 10 weeks during the summer of 2027, with start dates in May or June. Full-time employment offers may be extended based on performance.
