About the Role
The Workover Foreman supervises all staff on the pulling unit as well as equipment. The team relies on the Foreman for leadership, safety training, downhole tool knowledge, assistance with personnel issues, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage the setup and takedown of rigs
- Set and release downhole tools
- Run tally and write daily workover reports
- Coordinate maintenance and repair of rigs
- Ensure adherence to safety practices, environmental laws, and other government regulations
- Oversee day-to-day activities
- Conduct prep work prior to rig setup
- Handle personnel issues
- Demonstrate and promote safety leadership
- Foster a positive work environment and team atmosphere
- Monitor and assess staffing requirements for development and exploration programs
- Provide technical leadership and assist in identifying, designing, and executing workovers and production optimization projects
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure proper design and execution of projects aimed at growing production
- Conduct regular inspections and evaluations of procedures and personnel
- Help develop, implement, and maintain field management processes and staffing structure
- Review departmental performance and assist in developing plans and budgets to enhance operations or facilities specifications to grow production while maximizing net cash flow
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining the Company's standards and policies at the field level
- Review financial and operating performance with Executive Management on an ongoing basis and provide recommendations for efficiency improvements and organizational changes
