About the role

Supervise, direct, and coordinate employees, supplies and equipment. Ensure the cleaning and maintenance of assigned properties meet contractual specifications. Manage porters and matrons, assign tasks, perform quality control, train staff, ensure safety equipment is used, order and issue supplies, maintain equipment, manage cleaning, and adhere to Harvard and customer standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and coordinate employees, supplies and equipment.
• Ensure the cleaning and maintenance of assigned property meets contractual specifications.
• Maintain oversight of porters and matrons.
• Assign tasks to workers based on job requirements or special assignments.
• Perform quality control to conform with Harvard and customer standards.
• Train new and existing staff on proper cleaning techniques.
• Ensure proper safety equipment and techniques are utilized and adhered to.
• Order and issue supplies and equipment.
• Check work tickets.
• Manage general cleaning.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the cleaning/janitorial field.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Ability to write basic business documents.

Skills

• Strong leadership and supervision skills.
• Attention to detail and quality control.
• Effective communication and training abilities.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and equipment.
• Basic computer skills for managing supplies and equipment.
