Working Civil Craft Foreman

About the role

The Working Foreman for Civil will oversee and manage crews performing civil site work. Must have experience with form and finish cement, tie rebar, grout, and shoot elevation. Provides leadership, and is responsible for, although not limited to scheduling, detail planning, coordinating, supervising, assisting in cost control and ensuring the safety, consistency and application of all Zachry policies and procedures. Assigns work packages to Foremen. Assists Foremen in all daily activities. Consults with other Craft Supervisors on areas of work, heavy equipment needed, and material requisitioned. Provides proper training and monitors productivity of crews who install/assemble components of industrial products.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work: locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
• Plan, schedule concrete placements and coordinate the work with supervision and planners to ensure conformance to construction schedules.
• Identify all tools required for tasks.
• Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.
• Illustrate in-depth knowledge of civil crafts.
• Tactically plan operations for scheduling workloads in crews efficiently utilizing assets and resources to minimize cost.
• Manage crews regarding processes, scheduling, costs, employee relations issues, and employment needs.

Requirements

• Must have a current TWIC card.
• Must have 5+ years working with civil, industrial work.
• Must have 3+ years supervisory experience.
• Must be proficient in managing crew, time, and costs.
• Must have good leadership and communication skills.

• Demonstrated industrial construction/maintenance history experience.
• Ability to read prints and construction drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and manufacturers manuals and instructions.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge in civil crafts.
• Organization and time management.
• Good problem-solving abilities.
• Good aptitude and manual dexterity.
