Workforce Trainer, Part Time

This position is an entry point for the pool of qualified applicants to be selected for anticipated part-time temporary positions working under the guidance of the Texas State Technical College Corporate College.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students, and members of the community.
• Develop curriculum for a variety of educational projects including but not limited to continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, and other special training projects, as well as international programs.
• Deliver instruction for a variety of educational projects including but not limited to continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, and other special training projects, as well as international programs.
• Complete documentation including grades, as required by the supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Educational requirements vary based on the training need.
• Two years of related experience relevant to subject needs.
• Demonstrated knowledge in at least one of the following areas:
  • Industrial maintenance
  • RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance)
  • Vibration analysis
  • Fluid power
  • Electrical
  • Aviation maintenance
  • Safety
  • Instrumentation/electronic control systems
  • Welding
  • Heavy equipment operation
  • Telecommunications
  • Computerized numeric controls
  • Boiler systems
  • Heating/ventilation and air conditioning
  • English as a second language
  • Building construction and repair
  • Other specialized manufacturing skill sets and experience as deemed appropriate by client demand

The percentage of time spent on the essential functions will vary based on workload and will ultimately be determined by the supervisor.
