Job Description

The Workforce Specialist serves within the Employment Services (ES) division. ES programs aim to enhance the labor market by matching job seekers with employers. The SC Works system offers career guidance, job referrals, assessments, and résumé assistance. Free tools for employers include posting job openings, recruiting and screening candidates, and reviewing job market trends. Local workforce development boards manage SC Works Centers across the state. The Workforce Specialist reports to the Employment Services Division in the Pee Dee Region and may require scheduled travel to Darlington, Marion, Marlboro, Chesterfield, Dillon, and Florence counties.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

  • A high school diploma with a minimum of four years of experience in customer service, recruitment, selection, interviewing, counseling, case management or a related field
  • A bachelor’s degree with at least two years of experience in customer service, recruitment, selection, interviewing, counseling, case management or a related field is preferred
