Workforce Education helps students pay for college and provides the support needed to reach educational and career goals.

What We Offer

  • Tuition assistance
  • Funds for books and college supplies
  • Transportation support (Gas cards/Orca cards)
  • One-on-one educational support
  • Clear pathways toward certificates or degrees

Benefits depend on the specific funding program.

Funding Programs

Workforce Education includes four funding programs that may help cover your college costs. Each program has its own eligibility criteria and benefits.

  • BFET - For students receiving Basic Food Assistance (SNAP)
  • Opportunity Grant - For low-income students pursuing approved programs
  • Worker Retraining - For unemployed, underemployed, or displaced workers
  • WorkFirst - For parents receiving TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) cash assistance

Eligibility

Take the Start Next Quarter survey to find out if you qualify for Workforce Education Funding programs. After answering some questions, you can sign up for an Information Session to learn more.

How to Apply

Complete the Online Workforce Education Application. Once submitted, the team will contact you with next steps. The priority deadline is 2 weeks before the quarter starts.
