Workforce Development Project Manager

About the role

The Workforce Development Project Manager will lead initiatives focused on enhancing rural health professional development and continuing education programs in Rhode Island. This role involves collaborating with agencies and community partners to design impactful educational programs that meet industry standards and accreditation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement professional development programs tailored to rural communities, ensuring alignment with relevant standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to create engaging curricula for in-person, hybrid, and online formats.
• Oversee program compliance with state, federal, and professional licensing requirements, including CEU/CE credits and licensure renewal.
• Manage program budgets, track expenditures, and coordinate resources such as materials, technology, and vendor contracts.
• Conduct research, fiscal, and policy analysis to evaluate program outcomes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain relationships with rural health stakeholders, educational institutions, and community partners to support program success.
• Utilize learning management systems, webinar platforms, and member management tools to facilitate program delivery and engagement.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in public health, education, business, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in project management, research, fiscal analysis, or policy development within a human service or educational environment.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, and evaluation processes.
• Experience working with learning management systems and communication technology.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders, including government officials and community organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with rural health initiatives or in public sector environments.
• Knowledge of accreditation standards and continuing education requirements.
