Responsibilities
- Instruct contract and open-enrollment industrial/manufacturing courses.
- Design and implement learning strategies for students.
- Develop course syllabi and instructional materials.
- Maintain instructional records.
- Handle student recruitment, advisement, and retention.
- Develop and evaluate courses, programs, and services.
- Participate in college activities and committees.
- Teach assigned courses at all SCC campuses and on-site client locations, including before or after standard business hours to accommodate student and employer availability.
- Responsible for curriculum development, creation of syllabi, and material development/selection.
- Meet with new and existing clients to deliver contract training in conjunction with the Executive Director of Workforce Development.
- Advise students in academic and employment planning.
- Work with the supervisor to ensure proper maintenance and scheduling of equipment repairs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and related instructional experience. Combined education and experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing production and quality.
Schedule
Occasional night and/or weekend hours may be required for scheduled events.
