Workforce Development Instructor, Industrial (Tyger River Campus)

Responsibilities

• Instruct contract and open-enrollment industrial/manufacturing courses.
• Design and implement learning strategies for students.
• Develop course syllabi and instructional materials.
• Maintain instructional records.
• Handle student recruitment, advisement, and retention.
• Develop and evaluate courses, programs, and services.
• Participate in college activities and committees.
• Teach assigned courses at all SCC campuses and on-site client locations, including before or after standard business hours to accommodate student and employer availability.
• Responsible for curriculum development, creation of syllabi, and material development/selection.
• Meet with new and existing clients to deliver contract training in conjunction with the Executive Director of Workforce Development.
• Advise students in academic and employment planning.
• Work with the supervisor to ensure proper maintenance and scheduling of equipment repairs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and related instructional experience. Combined education and experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing production and quality.

Schedule

Occasional night and/or weekend hours may be required for scheduled events.
