Workers Compensation Technician

Responsibilities

Assisting with the administration of the County's self-insured Workers' Compensation Program, including supporting complex claims management.

Managing medical-only workers' compensation claims from intake through resolution.

Supporting the County's Return-to-Work (RTW) program by coordinating employee return-to-work efforts.

Cooking schedules with departments and subject matter experts for workplace safety training programs.

Entering new workers' compensation claims into the Risk Management Information System (RMIS).

Maintaining claim files, documentation, and confidential employee records with accuracy and discretion.

Coordinating with the County's Automated External Defibrillator (AED) program, including conducting weekly equipment inspections and replacing batteries and electrode pads as needed.

Supporting the County's DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Program by coordinating administrative processes.

Preparing workers' compensation reports, correspondence, and related documentation.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.

Two years (2) of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.

Possess reliable transportation to be able to work in any County facility as needed and required.
