Responsibilities

• Manage your own workers' compensation defense caseload
• Take and defend depositions
• Appear at MSCs, lien conferences, hearings, and trials
• Provide strategic advice and litigation guidance to the employers, insurance carriers, and TPAs we represent
• Negotiate favorable settlements on their behalf
• Work closely with our experienced attorneys and support staff in a genuinely team-oriented environment

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license, in good standing
• 3+ years of California workers' compensation defense experience
• Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation law and WCAB procedures
• Excellent deposition, negotiation, and litigation skills
• Ability to independently manage a caseload while still working well as part of a team
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and case-management abilities
• Aggressive and proactive case handling
