Responsibilities
- Handle workers’ compensation matters from intake through resolution
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and strategy
- Draft legal pleadings, motions, correspondence, and settlement documents
- Conduct legal research and analyze medical and employment records
- Attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and other proceedings as needed
- Develop case strategies and negotiate favorable outcomes for clients
- Work closely with attorneys, support staff, and experts to advance client matters
Qualifications
- Active Washington State Bar license in good standing
- Minimum of 1 year of workers’ compensation, personal injury, insurance defense, civil litigation, or related legal experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Desire to grow within a respected and expanding practice
Preferred Experience
- Experience handling workers’ compensation or industrial insurance matters
- Hearing, deposition, or mediation experience
- Familiarity with Washington workers’ compensation laws and procedures
