About the Opportunity:The WORKERS' COMPENSATION CLAIMS SPECIALIST role focuses on managing lower-level, non-complex workers’ compensation claims within delegated authority to achieve optimal outcomes. This position supports the claims department under direct supervision, contributing to effective claim processing and client communication. The role involves validating claims, establishing reserves, and coordinating with customers and clients to maintain claim status. Responsibilities:Receive workers’ compensation claims and verify policy coverageDetermine claim validity and compensabilityEstablish reserves and authorize payments within authority limitsManage non-complex lost-time claims under supervisionCommunicate claim status with customers, claimants, and clientsAdhere to client and carrier guidelines and participate in claim reviewsAssist with complex or problematic claims as neededPerform additional duties and projects as assigned Requirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experienceMinimum of 1 year of industry experience and claims management preferredMaintain current license or certification in workers’ compensationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to learn claims practices rapidlyProblem identification, analysis, and resolution skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office, including ExcelStrong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environment Pay Range and Compensation Package:Pay range: $52,999 – $85,473 Benefits & Perks:Medical insuranceDental insuranceVision insurance401(k) Equal Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
