Responsibilities

• Adjusts medical-only claims and minor lost-time workers compensation claims under close supervision.
• Supports other claims representatives, examiners, and leads with larger or more complex claims as necessary.
• Determines compensability and benefits due for workers compensation claims, ensuring reserve accuracy and filing necessary documentation with state agencies.
• Communicates claim actions and processing with claimants, clients, and appropriate medical contacts.
• Maintains accurate and complete claim files and ensures proper claims coding.
• Processes routine payments and status reports for lifetime and defined period medical claims.
• Maintains professional client relationships.
• Supports the organization's quality programs.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Licenses as required by law.
• One (1) year of medical only experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Claims industry experience preferred.

Pay

The starting pay range for this role in the specified jurisdiction is ($20 - $25/hr).
