Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster (California Experience Required)
About the role
This is a fully remote position for a Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster. You will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle workers compensation claims on behalf of clients. The role involves communicating with CEOs, claimants, provider offices, and attorneys, and requires prior workers’ compensation adjusting experience, including taking statements, issuing lost wage payments, completing state filings, denying claims, handling subrogation, and managing litigation.
Responsibilities
- Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle workers compensation claims
- Communicate with a wide variety of individuals, including CEOs, claimants, providers, and attorneys
- Take statements and issue lost wage payments
- Complete state filings and deny claims when necessary
- Handle subrogation and manage litigation
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a workers compensation claims adjuster
- California workers compensation license and SIP (State Issued Permit)
- Demonstrated knowledge of workers compensation laws and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and claims management software

Pay
The salary range is $60,000–$100,000, based on factors including location, education, work experience, and certifications.
