About the Role
Cottingham & Butler Claims Services (CBCS) is offering a work-from-home opportunity as a Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster. This fast-paced role requires previous experience in workers compensation adjusting, including taking statements, paying lost wage benefits, filing state forms, denying claims, subrogation, and litigation. You will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle workers compensation claims on behalf of our clients, communicating with CEOs, claimants, providers, and attorneys. Experience handling claims in multiple jurisdictions is essential.
Responsibilities
- Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle workers compensation claims.
- Communicate with a wide variety of individuals, including CEOs, claimants, providers, and attorneys.
- Handle claims in multiple jurisdictions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a workers compensation claims adjuster.
- License/state experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of workers compensation laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in computer programs, including Microsoft Office and claims management software.
