Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster
About the role
Work from home as a Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster with Cottingham & Butler Claims Services (CBCS). This fast-paced position requires previous workers compensation adjusting experience, including taking statements, paying lost wage benefits, filing state forms, denying claims, subrogation, and litigation.
You will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle workers compensation claims on behalf of our clients. The role involves communicating with a wide variety of individuals, including CEOs, claimants, provider offices, and attorneys. Experience handling claims in multiple jurisdictions is vital for success.
Responsibilities
- Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle workers compensation claims
- Communicate with claimants, providers, attorneys, and executives
- Take statements and handle lost wage benefits
- File state forms and manage claim denials
- Handle subrogation and litigation processes
- Ensure compliance with workers compensation laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a workers compensation claims adjuster
- Demonstrated knowledge of workers compensation laws and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and claims management software
- License and state-specific experience
